Artist and ACC Metal Chaser ADAM SHULTZ

I started working for art castings in 1989. As an aspiring artist, I thought that a foundry would be a great place to learn all phases of bronze casting and help gain skills needed to craft my own sculptures. Over the past 17 years, I have worked in every single department at Art Castings. In my work, I've had to be able to re-sculpt the textures and styles of many different master sculptors from all over the world. These skills and influence have benefited me greatly with developing my own style as a sculptor. I feel very fortunate to be able to work in the field that I enjoy, and take pride in being able to say that I helped create bronzes that grace our nation's capital, reside with royalty, and rest in important locations all over America.
On Wednesday evenings the foundry remains open for all
employees to work on their own projects. I don't think
this image is what management had in mind.
Installation of Bart Walter's Elk Group. Second set of these currently working it's way
through the foundry.
